What is burnout? What does is look like for artists? Does it even exist? I think its pretty easy to feel burnt out as an artist because of the entrepreneurial aspects of creative careers. Its also all too easy to fall into the tortured artist identity, and that can take a toll on our spirits. Creativity requires being vulnerable and sensitive, which can be exhausting overtime. For me its the chronic search for new projects in order to sustain my income. Im just tired of waking up every day and hustling for every dollar. As a creative entrepreneur it is too risky to be sick.  Chronic illness can limit your ability to create or effectively run a business.  I speak on my struggles with health and share why I think proactively maintaining a healthy lifestyle is critical for the creative journey.  Mind, body, spirit are intertwined and affect each other directly.  to make sure these categories of operate smoothly we must establish better practices in nutrition, exercise, sleep and social connection.
